Description
The Udal, also known as Kailaya Vathiyam or Shivan Vathiyam, is a sacred percussion instrument deeply rooted in Indian temple traditions. It is mainly played during Lord Shiva rituals, temple festivals, and processions for its energetic and divine sound.
This instrument is crafted with a strong steel barrel body and fitted with two goat-skin drum heads, creating a rich, resonant tone with 2 plastic stick. The double-sided design allows players to produce both high and low notes, making it perfect for rhythmic temple performances.
At NMS Musicals, each Udal is made and tuned by skilled makers using traditional methods, ensuring authentic tone, durability, and high-quality finish. Suitable for temple use, devotional performances, cultural events, and traditional musicians.
